Where to vacation in the Kłodzko Valley?

The Kłodzka Basin is located in the south-west of Poland, and its picturesque surroundings and numerous monuments make it an ideal place to relax. Although it mainly houses the surroundings of Kłodzko within its borders, it is often used to refer to the area of the entire Kłodzko land. Here again there are both large spas — Kudowa-Zdrój, Duszniki-Zdrój, Lądek-Zdrój or Polanica-Zdrój — as well as smaller but no less charming towns, including Nowa Ruda, Bolesławów or Wambierzyce.

When planning a holiday in the Kłodzko Valley, you can opt for many locations. However, if you want to aim for one that will provide easy access to nearby attractions, and a lot of interesting activities on the spot, it is worth betting on Zieleniec. It is a part of the town Duszniki-Zdrój, slightly distant from the center. Located at the foot of the Orlické Mountains, it surprises not only with a secluded and peaceful atmosphere, but also with an exceptionally varied offer.

Why choosing the Kłodzko Basin for your holiday, it is worth deciding on Zieleniec?

  • Environment that allows you to undertake activities of various types: sightseeing, hiking in the mountains, kayaking, etc.
  • Convenient access to many attractions of Lower Silesia — From Zieleniec to Kłodzko it is about 30 km, to Kudowa Zdroj 20 km, and to Złoty Stok less than 60 km.
  • A border location that allows you to explore the Czech Republic freely.
  • Extensive catering and accommodation base.

What to do in the Kłodzko Valley on holiday?

Whether you are planning a holiday for two or a holiday with children, Kłodzka Valley has just as much magnificence to offer. How do you spend the summer there?

Mountain trails

Probably no other part of Poland is surrounded by such a number of mountain ranges as the Kłodzka Basin! Holidays, even the longest ones, are not enough to conquer all the most important peaks there. Let alone, if you still want to go out to every observation tower... to count them, fingers of two hands are not enough!

Caves

The origin of the Sudetenland means that many underground corridors formed in them naturally. What caves are worth seeing in the Kłodzko Valley? Among the most interesting ones is definitely the Bear's Cave in Kletony, where you can admire the bony remains of Pleistocene animals. At the same time, it is the longest and best preserved cave of the Sudetenland.

Cycling routes

Holidays in the Kłodzko Valley are also an ideal opportunity to take (or rent on site) a bike! In the Zieleniec Sport Arena, there are 5 cycling routes of varying difficulty in summer. In addition, near Zieleniec and Dusznik-Zdrój there are another 4 loops (out of 27 total) Singletrack Glacensis. There are road routes and bike paths.

Rivers and lakes

Rivers and lakes are another asset of the Kłodzko Basin. Holidays in this place allow, among other things, to participate in kayaking or dinghy trips, practicing canyoning, or a lazy holiday on the beach. Both Lake Bielawskie and Lake Bystrzyckie have great beaches with water equipment rentals and additional attractions.

Monuments

Although it is not in the Kłodzko Valley that the action of the book “Holiday with Ghosts” is set, the local castles and palaces do not lack anything in this matter either. Their rich, sometimes dark history, provides an excellent breeding ground for the imagination, and not just for people who like to be afraid. Moreover, many of these places can be seen by opting for a holiday with your dog as well. Kłodzka Valley is open to all guests! See how much it has to offer now!
