Although there can be a lot of ideas for visiting the Kłodzko Valley, it is impossible not to add one more to them - traveling by motorcycle. This region has everything that lovers of two-wheelers appreciate: beautiful views, streamers meandering between the hills, as well as quite small traffic on the roads, especially outside the high season, which allows you to get even more pleasure from driving.
What routes for a motorcycle?
When looking for interesting ideas for motorcycle routes in the Kłodzko Valley, it is worth considering there attractions and monuments, which will not only allow for a short stop, but also make the trip even more interesting. Srebrna Góra Fortress, Grodno Castle, Osówka Underground City, Wrong Rocks, or the Złoty Stok mine are only a small part of what you can see “by the way” riding a motorcycle in the local area.
Where is it worth going on a motorcycle?
Although motorcycle routes in the Kłodzko Valley can be multiplied into bunches, one of the most beautiful of them — and for good reason — was considered the Kłodzko Loop. It is not particularly difficult, however, the 600-metre surpass makes some stretches a little more challenging to overcome. However, it is rewarded by views — the Kłodzka Loop hooks up, among others, a fragment of the provincial road no. 389 (DW389), which is also known as the Sudecka Motorway. It is about 42 km long and is considered one of the most beautifully located asphalt roads in all Poland. Moreover, when traveling it, you can come across military buildings dating back to the Nazi era.
Where to go by motorcycle? (Lower Silesia)
Traveling by motorcycle in the Kłodzko Valley, you can reach many interesting places. On the route of the Kłodzko Loop itself there are, among others, towns with historical urban layouts, platforms and viewpoints, as well as bunkers and forts dating from the interwar and World War II times. An equally interesting alternative to visiting the Kłodzko Basin by motorcycle is to navigate the European Route of Castles and Palaces of Lower Silesia (21 points) or the Marianna Oranska Trail, which leads through places related to her person. Kłodzko Loop — what awaits you?
The entire Kłodzko Loop is about 280 km long, of which less than 50 km is located on the territory of the Czech Republic. What does her route look like?
- Kłodzko — Złoty Stok (national road DK46) — this section is not too demanding, but it gives a beautiful view of the Bardzkie Mountains located nearby.
- Złoty Stok — Lądek-Zdrój — Stronie Śląskie (provincial roads DW390, DW392) — is a very picturesque section running through the Golden Mountains, Bialskie Mountains and the Śnieżnik Massif. It allows you to see all those places with which the Kłodzka Basin stands out. On a motorcycle here you can simultaneously overcome numerous streamers, turns and steep undersides.
- Silesian Stronie — Bolesławów — Płoszczyna Pass (817 m above sea level) — this section runs along local roads up to the border with the Czech Republic. It is partly located in the Śnieżnice Landscape Park.
- The Ploshchyna Pass — Staré Město pod Sněžníkem — Králíky — Mladkov (roads 446, 312 and 43) — there are many turns and streamers on this section, which alternate with straight sections. An additional advantage of the route is the picturesque location.
- Kamieńczyk — Międzylesie — Mostowice (DK33, Śródsudecka Road) — this section initially leads along local roads, to finally connect with the national road, and continue to cross into Śródsudecka Road, which passes right at the border with the Czech Republic.
- Mostowice — Kudowa-Zdrój (Sudecka Highway) — is one of the most beautiful sections of the Kłodzka Loop. Choosing a motorcycle to overcome it, you can enjoy the views at will. Also notable are the fortifications located along it.

- Kudowa-Zdrój — Radków (DW 387) — this section is also called the Hundred Turns Road. Extremely winding and surrounded by dense forests, it makes an amazing impression. In Radków, on Mount Guzowata, there is an observation deck, which is also worth visiting.
- Radków — Śluczów — Nowa Ruda (local roads, DW386) — is a gentle section that leads through the surrounding villages. Exploring them, you can come across ruins of castles or interesting viewpoints.
- Nowa Ruda — Kłodzko (DW381) — is a section that leads along the Bardzkie Mountains. There are, among others, ski lifts and recreational areas.
